A Israeli puff pastry stuffed with spring onions, spinach and mushrooms. A lovely snack which may be relished with a thick tomato sauce.
Ingredients Of Borek
200 gm of bread made from flour, eggwhites, oil, margarine and salt to flavor
1 cup blanched spinach
1 cup sliced eggplant
1/2 cup yolk boiled with lemon
1 Tbsp red bell pepper
1 Tbsp sliced spring onion
two eggs-whipped with a pinch of white pepper and salt.
Use Olive oil to shallow fry
How to Generate Borek
Roll the dough out with a rollpin. For spinach borek, heat oil in a bowl. Saute lightly.
For eggplant borek, in a bowl saute eggplant, salt and red bellpepper.
Afford the dough, place spinach filling on top of it and then fold the corners, while brushing with whipped egg.
Repeat the process with all the eggplant filling.
Bake in an oven for around 20 minutes or till it turns brown.
Serve with tomato sauce.
